DRIVER FAILED TO YIELD TO MOTORCYCLE RIDER

The deadly motorcycle accident in Texas took place at about 7:45 a.m. on January 2, as Adrian Renteria was riding his motorcycle in the 12500 block of Edgemere Boulevard near El Dorado High School in East El Paso. According to police, Renteria was struck by 44-year-old Maria Ramirez, who was driving a sport utility vehicle and failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle rider as she attempted to leave the high school and cross into the westbound lanes of Edgemere Boulevard. The force of the collision caused Renteria to be thrown from his motorcycle, and he reportedly died at the scene. The fatal motorcycle accident is being investigated by the El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations unit.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT FATALITIES IN 2015

Traffic accidents occur far too frequently in Texas, and Renteria’s death marked the third traffic accident fatality of 2015 at the time, the first occurring a little more than one hour into the new year. In the first accident of 2015, which was believed to have involved alcohol, 34-year-old Natalie Villareal veered off the road on Interstate 10 West while attempting to exit onto Redd Road. Villareal died at the scene of the accident, and her passenger, 36-year-old Eduardo Romero was treated at Las Palmas Medical Center for minor injuries. Later that same day, a 21-year-old man was killed and four people were injured when he rear-ended a Sun Metro bus in the Lower Valley as it was unloading passengers.

You may have grounds to file a personal injury lawsuit against the driver found at-fault in the wreck, in order to seek fair and timely reimbursement for your injuries, medical bills, and pain and suffering.
