COLLISION OCCURRED AS DRIVER ATTEMPTED U-TURN
The fatal car accident took place at about 2 p.m. on July 26, as Ashley Boyd and his wife Alice were traveling west on Seawall Boulevard, on their way to a family reunion. According to a spokesperson for the Galveston Police Department, Adrian Paul Mills, who was driving a black Infiniti SUV, was traveling east on the seawall when he suddenly attempted a U-turn and struck the Boyd’s Toyota Sienna minivan on the driver’s side. Ashley Boyd, 72, was declared dead at the scene of the Texas car accident, and his wife remains hospitalized at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) with serious injuries. Mills, the alleged drunk driver, suffered injuries in the collision as well, and was also transported to UTMB for treatment.
