Six people were hospitalized, including a six-year-old boy who lost his arm, following a multiple-vehicle accident on Spencer Highway in Pasadena, Texas last week. According to police, the Texas car accident took place on March 24, when the driver of a white Mustang struck a red sedan from behind on the busy thoroughfare, and then swerved into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a pickup truck. THREE VEHICLES INVOLVED IN TWO SEPARATE ACCIDENTS
Texas authorities report that the six-year-old boy who lost his arm was riding in the front passenger seat of the Mustang when the driver, the young boy’s mother, struck the rear of the red sedan outside a McDonald’s on Spencer Highway, just before Strawberry Road. The back of the sedan, in which a mother was taking her daughter to school, was seriously damaged in the collision, but the Mustang’s driver continued on without stopping. Just seconds later, police say the Mustang crossed the center line of the highway and struck the pickup truck head-on, causing the front of the Mustang to crumple upon impact. The mother and her nine-year-old daughter in the red sedan were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, as was the driver of the pickup truck.
OUR EXPERIENCED CAR ACCIDENT LAWYERS CAN HELP
The woman driving the Mustang suffered broken bones in the Texas car accident, and also fractured her skull, while her 12-year-old nephew, who was sitting in the back seat of the car when the two collisions occurred, did not suffer any major injuries. The six-year-old boy in the front seat, however, was not so lucky. He was trapped inside the wreckage, and one of his arms was severed. Emergency crews removed the limb in hopes that it could be reattached at the hospital, but it remains unclear if that will be possible.
