Three-Vehicle Trucking Accident Results In Fatality

“An eastbound semi-truck w/trailer crossed U.S. 287 in front of southbound semi-truck trailer and clipped it; the impact struck the fuel tank of the southbound semi-truck; the driver lost control and was ejected from the semi-truck,” reported Texas Department of Public Safety trooper Lonny Haschel after the Texas trucking accident occurred. After the truck driver was ejected from the vehicle, the driverless rock hauler then cross the median and crashed into a ditch on the northbound side, catching fire. The devastating trucking accident resulted in the death of the ejected truck driver and injuries to the driver of a pickup truck who lost control of his vehicle and overturned in the midst of the collision. That driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the other rock hauler suffered no injuries.
